Wish us luck

Jet's wearing "big boy underwears" today for the first time. He's very excited because they have baseballs on them!

His teacher says that he stays dry all day, except during nap. She also says he's very good to tell her when he has to go to the bathroom, even when they're all busy playing. Hopefully we can do the same at home!

My plan is to try to ask him to sit on the potty every 30-45 minutes. Hope it works -- I really think he's ready.

Wow! We've only had luck once with Q on the potty so far. Hopefully, this summer though.

Well, Jet will be three next month, so I actually feel guilty that I've not been working harder on this!!! :P

Pshaw! Mine was FOUR before I could get her to poop in the potty. She would pee on the potty, but poop in her pull-ups. She was terrified of doing that for some reason.

Oh, wow. Thanks for the encouragement, Heather. (j/k!)

I'd just really like to get through this phase over the summer because his playschool charges $50/month extra if the kids are three y/o and not toilet trained. Obviously, they expect a few accidents, but if they have to be changed regularly, then they charge extra. Good incentive, I guess!

If Jet potties on the potty, can I have a popcicle too?

I just remember the days of D2's toilet training when I also got rewarded in this fashion for his successful pottying.

Me: "So, I bet you have to go to the bathroom."
D2: "Uh, no I don't."
Me: "Yes you do. You really, really have to go, I think."
D2: "NO. I don't!"
Me: "Y E S Y O U D O!! GO TRY!!!"

Then I'd hover over the efforts. HA. Poor guy.

Jeez, Beez, no wonder the kid had a complex.

And Jet gets pospicles anyway. :) It's the M&Ms that motivate around here.
